The Steps In Detail
- Customers receive a secure, automated OnCall Credit Alert by phone with information on a recent change in their credit file.
- The name of the bank or creditor and the type of account are provided.
- If the account is recognized as legitimate, the customer presses the "1" key on the phone and the call is completed.
- If the account is not recognized and fraud is suspected, the customer presses the "*" key to be immediately connected to a Debix OnCall Investigator.
- The OnCall Investigator will immediately initiate an investigation.
- If appropriate, law enforcement will be notified to pursue the criminals responsible.
Your credit is the building block of your life
Debix provides secure, multi-band, multi-factor authentication. When you receive a call from Debix alerting you that someone is attempting to open a new credit account or make changes to an existing account, you can trust that the call is legitimate.
At registration, you will select a PIN number for your account and record a Voice Key that you will recognize when you receive a call. If you receive a call and suspect the account is fraud, pressing the star key on your phone will immediately connect you to a Debix OnCall investigator.
